There are many different jewellery making techniques in use today and we will explore three types of handmade jewellery and the manufacturing techniques that are commonly practiced today.
The first and most basic technique is known as hand-assembled jewellery. This involves creating jewellery pieces from pre-made charms and other jewellery findings. The second technique is wire wrapped jewellery which is a decorative frame embellished with other ornaments that are attached with coils of wrapped wire. Wire weaving techniques are fairly labour-intensive. Lastly, handmade beaded jewellery comprises the use of beads on a single strand of stringing material that facilitates the creation of personalized earrings, necklaces, and bracelets.
