Quantum Meets 2024 PT 1: IBM, Capgemini, Block Party, Week 22072024

QUANTUM MEETS 2024 OVERVIEW

The Quantum Meets 2024 showcase in Amsterdam, the Netherlands promised to be a spectacle that would delight an animated technology crowd of Quantum connoisseurs who gathered over four days between Monday 10th June to Thursday 13th June 2024. As pivotal members of the technology of the future, delegates looked forward to a prominent line up of speakers across the industry, engaging side line events, breakfast meets ups, luncheons and dinners with social impact organisations coming to life in one gathering in the Netherlands. Quantum Meets 2024 attracted quantum loving attendees from all across Europe, together with Government officials from institutions including the EU, the OECD, the World Economic Forum, The White House Office of Science Technology Policy (OSTP) and the UKRI leading the way to endorse Quantum computing.

DAY 1- IBM & CAPGEMINI JOIN FORCES

#QuantumMeets 2024, Monday June 10th 2024 opened up in true stye in Utrecht with Capgemini and @BM Quantum who joined forces to organise an exhilarating day of innovation and collaboration; a 1-day Qiskit coding challenge as part of the Quantum Meets ’24, sideline event in association with Quantum Delta NL.

Developers with Python skills had full access to IBM Quantum computers, throughout the day. IBM Quantum provided an exclusive online onboarding session that covered the basics of quantum computing with their software and hardware.

DAY 1- THE BLOCK PARTY

As Latest Sale finally begins its transition to come out of stealth, our Founder was in attendance throughout the four-day in-person summit. The conference kicked off with the Block Party that took place in Delft, near Rotterdam on Monday 10th June 2024. Not all attendees could participate but Quantum Delta NL certainly raised the bar high for expectations of what was to come. The Block Party aimed to demonstrate to attendees how collaboration actually works in practice. Attendees enjoyed further opportunities to debate go to market strategies in the Diamond Forum.

With an open invitation to the House of Quantum at our fingertips. guests mingled with the summit’s co-hosts, House of Quantum, Qblox, Quantum Delft, QuTech, Delft Circuits, QuantrolOx, Talent & Learning Center Delft/Leiden, and Q*Bird, and savoured the delights of a gratifying dinner followed by refreshing drinks, entertainment, and access to a quantum game room at the Qblox HQ.

For decades the Delft Hub has stood the test of time by ensuring it is well ahead of emerging technological trends. Within the Quantum Delft hub, a cutting-edge local ecosystem has come to light where some of the best scientists, engineers and entrepreneurs congregate. A wholly rigorous focus on quantum technology best practice is underway and finally the quantum industry as a whole is ready to emerge from stealth in unison, with QuTech the research driven arm of quantum computing and quantum internet, founded by TNO and TU Delft (Delft University of Technology) also a central player.

The potential of quantum is “now” as stated by Jesse Robbers, Co-Founder & Executive Board Member of Quantum Delta NL (QDNL), as Quantum Delta NL announced it had been awarded €60 million by National Growth Fund to facilitate the development of additional international programmes and “realise quantum’s profound benefits.”

Join us for PART 2 of our insights into Quantum Meets 2024. Next time we delve into Q-EXPO that took place on 11th June 2024.
