Inspirational colour with Olga Margarita, handmade beaded necklaces is personified through the vibrant range of tagua necklaces that embrace a sustainable jewellery manufacturing ethos.
Tagua seeds are commonly known as ivory palms, ivory-nut palms or tagua palms; their scientific name means “plant elephant“. This and the first two of the common names refer to the very hard white endosperm of their seeds (tagua nuts), which resembles elephant ivory. Tagua can be dyed in as many colours as needed, from red, yellow, blue, orange, purple or even green.
Tagua takes approximately fifteen years to produce its first harvest and will not stop bearing fruit for all of these years and even a century to come. A 35 to 40 year old plant measures about 6 feet and produces in the 3 yearly harvests, between 15 to 16 heads or “mocochas.”
Inspirational colour with a sustainability edge is an enigmatic offering from the Olga Margarita handmade beaded necklaces collection. Olga Margarita, handmade beaded necklaces are delivered in an elegant silver coloured designer jewellery box.
