The Beyoncé skyscraper or so it has been the nicknamed has finally been given the go-ahead to set the skyline of Melbourne Australia alive. This week Latest Sale reports from the Business Directory, Architecture category on a structurally enigmatic piece of architecture developed by award winning architects Elenberg Fraser.
So far Elenberg Fraser has enjoyed the following accolades in 2015 alone;
Residential Architecture; Multiple Housing Shortlisted – Abode318
Residential Architecture; Multiple Housing, shortlisted- Avenue
Commercial Architecture- Shortlisted 501 Swanson Street
Melbourne’s glass and stainless steel encased Premier Tower, will be a 68- story building designed to house 660 apartments and a hotel with 160 rooms is a curvaceous architectural façade, inspired by the Beyoncé video Ghost that depicts women fighting to escape their entrapment in stretchy, fishnet fabric.
Aesthetically pleasing, the Premier Tower’s shape will also enable it to conserve energy more efficiently. Commissioned by billionaire Wee Meng Koh, through his Singapore real estate hospitality investment group, Fragrance Group Limited, Premier Tower, according to reports from Oliver Wainwright of the Guardian newspaper will be used for luxury retail space.
Renderings of the Premier Tower hotel interior room design and features have been developed showcasing hotels rooms and relaxation areas with spectacular skyline views.
